CYANOTYPE PHOTOGRAMS

These are one-of-a-kind cameraless images made on watercolor paper, using cyanotype emulsion. Cyanotype is an historical, ultraviolet contact printing process, resulting in a rich blue print. I also make “reversed” cyanotype photograms by making the photogram first on ortho/litho film in the darkroom and then contact printing that in the sun on my coated paper. I sometimes add colored pencil to the finished print. These prints are available from the artist and at Verve Fine Arts Gallery (Santa Fe).
